Progresso!

Not the soup. My romance-languacized statement re: I got so much done today!

Tons, tons tons of Web design for Bikya Masr (check it out) and another site I’m doing. Still stuck on a few things with the latter, but over all I feel accomplished given that I still haven’t started my actual job yet.

Also filed under ‘progress’: definitely starting to take this blog seriously again. It’s really all thanks to the Wordpress app for the iPhone; so easy to publish stuff, especially with pictures. You (my one, maybe two readers, one of whom is definitely Liz) may have noticed an influx in my writing about purchases (all of which have been shoes so far–what does that say about me?). Yes, it’s all because of the camera. I can pretty much use it only to take photos of things I buy and our cat. :)

Speaking of purchases, you know, one really starts to appreciate the simple things, particularly those hygiene-related, upon return from the Third World. I just got this St. Ives bodywash for $3.39 at Fairway, and it kicks butt, and I’m pretty determined to use it forever and ever. Also Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Facial Scrub. I’ve had their mask for years, but this stuff is damn impressive. Check!

We also ended up with one of Tom’s of Maine’s all natural toothpastes. I agree with Adam’s observation that our teeth feel cleaner afterward, but the taste is bland. Not sure how I feel about that one.

I’m so all over the place tonight–just added a tag called “funnies” to this post so that I would remember to give you this suggestion: go to Overheard in New York and search for posts under the word “tourist”. You will be rewarded with hours of entertainment. That will be all.

…oh, yes, and I’m excited for this weekend. Feels great to have a multifaceted social life again! Saturday = St. Patrick’s Day in Hoboken, party at Shane’s (if I make it out of Hoboken, because I may end up staying with Cheyenne for the rest of my life), meeting up with many cousins/friends/and even Josh (?!) along the way. Let the games begin!
